Since I was 14

Any kind of greasy stuff from 7/11 [laughs]. Yeah, the most unhealthy stuff, that’s what I like

Corey Taylor, from Slipknot

Disposable pop
What’s been your favorite collaboration to take part in so far?

Who are three artists you would you like to work with in the future?
Philip Solo, Burt McCracken from the Used, and Franz from Attila
What made you want to be a hip hop artist?
Just meeting local MCs. At first I was a punk rocker, but nobody wanted me in their band, so I started meeting MCs, and now I’m a rapper [laughs]
What’s the advice you’d give to somebody who wants to become a producer like yourself?
If you feel like you could do it, do it. Continue to shine and grow, push product out, and always grow. Don’t ever fall into anybody’s footsteps, and stay authentic about it
How long does it take you to write a song, on average?
A full song, like five hours. Four to five hours
What’s the hardest thing about your job?
Uh, keeping your head straight
What inspires you, in general?
Just the feeling of being alive again, kinda makes…I dunno. It makes things exciting, wanting to do it, and the excitement of already doing it gets you hooked, so you keep wanting to go back and write better songs and grow

Black

Punk rock, metal, reggae, and blues
What are three artists you’ve got bumpin’ right now?
Blink-182, The Used, and New Found Glory
Are there any myths about the industry you’d like to dispel?
It isn’t always glamorous and fun. There’s a lot of work behind it. People see you onstage but they don’t see the blood sweat and tears. It is fun, but there comes a point where it’s definitely still a job. You can’t just f*ck around and expect to be something

What, to you, is “living the dream”?
I dunno, I think it’s being able to financially support yourself through your music. I think that’s living the dream
